Assignment:  Year Born

Final Product:  A web site about the year you were born while incorporating hotspots and bookmarks.

Content Requirements:

1. If your source is from a site other than the 5 I linked to, copy and paste the address to a stickie.

2. Complete the handout page.

   • Four major events + a picture of each:   Each event will be written into a story format.  When writing the story, answer the following questions:
     • Copy/Paste your source URL:

     *When did the event take place

     *Where did it take place

     *What happened

     *Who was involved

     Example:  If you were born in 2001, the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon would be a major event.

      

• Trivia facts-10 minimum  Examples:  Top Song, Top Movie, Inventions, price of gas, minimum wage, etc.

  • must use at least 2 of these 3 sites

3. Find the following images to be used in the website:

• Pictures (MUST change the useage rights to Allow for Re-use...source the site: Google is not the source)

• 5 images to represent the trivia facts
• 1 picture for each major headline/stories

• Page Design (source your sites on the QuickLinks page)

• a background (same one on all pages)
• use a theme for the following:
  • a home button (not animated) goes on the 200x page
  • a back button or arrow (not animated) goes on stories, facts, sources linked to 200x
  • an arrow facing up (not animated) that goes with each story (linked to top of stories page)
• a horizontal line (may be animated) goes below each heading on stories, facts, sources
• a clipart of each number to represent the year you were born (2 0 0 1)
  • these can NOT be animated
